Dear John,
Read all about it!
Brand new blog from Best for Britain.
I wrote this blog in response to our newly published business report. Collated from our supporters who own and operate small businesses, this report gives an on-the-ground view of businesses’ battles with Brexit plus COVID-19.
And it’s not a pretty sight.
You can get the full picture here.

Our survey showed more than 90%of respondents feel the Government is handling negotiations with the EU badly. It’s little wonder businesses don’t feel confident about the future.
Whether the UK leaves the transition period in the midst of the Covid-19 recovery with a Free Trade Agreement or without a deal at all, there will be a significant, negative economic impact.
The transition period was meant to give businesses time to prepare <[link removed]> for the changes to customs and trade Brexit would bring. But COVID-19 has meant many businesses have had to use this time simply to stay afloat.
As a result, a massive 77% of business owners support an indefinite extension to the transition period. Find out exactly what our business owners thought of the Government’s advice on Brexit, and read the full piece below.

We often talk about extending the transition period in terms of giving the UK, and the EU, time to negotiate the best deal.
But we mustn't forget the farmers, builders, dentists and truck-drivers. They also need time to prepare. It’s their businesses, and their livelihoods on the line.
Best wishes,
Laura Savage,
Campaigns Officer, Best for Britain
PS. If you agree businesses need more time to prepare, send a message to your MP urging them to extend transition here. <[link removed]>
