Katie Britt joins Rubio, Trump in Oval Office for U.K. Ambassador’s swearing-in

<[link removed]>

As family and friends gathered in the Oval Office on Wednesday to witness
Secretary of State Marco Rubio officially swear in Warren Stephens as
Ambassador to the United Kingdom, another familiar face was also in attendance
– U.S. Senator Katie Britt.

Alabama. In 1975, Stephens graduated from Trinity Presbyterian High School in
Montgomery, Britt’s hometown. The Senator also met with Stephens ahead of his
confirmation.

Sen. Britt introduces bill to make breast cancer diagnostic tests more
affordable

U.S. Senator Katie Britt, R-Alabama, joined Senator Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., in
reintroducing the Access to Breast Cancer Diagnosis Act. The bipartisan,
bicameral legislation would eliminate out-of-pocket expenses for diagnostic
breast cancer tests, making them more accessible and affordable.

“The ABCD Act would provide greater access to mammography so women can be
diagnosed as soon as possible, giving them the widest variety of treatment
options and the best chance to defeat this disease,” said Senator Britt.

Sen. Britt leads legislation to prevent federal overreach into state-regulated
insurance

<[link removed]>

U.S. Senator Katie Britt, R-Ala., a member of the Senate Committee on Banking,
Housing and Urban Affairs, on Thursday led 10 of her Senate colleagues in
introducing S. 1544, the Insurance Data Protection Act.

This legislation, which Senator Britt first introduced last Congress, would
correct the Federal Insurance Office’s efforts to overstep into the
state-regulated insurance industry and return FIO to its original intent of
supporting state insurance officials.

“Our state insurance regulators have more than proven their ability to
effectively and responsibly supervise the American insurance industry for over
a century,” said Senator Britt.
