[A Message From AFSP CEO Bob Gebbia ]([link removed])
This May, for Mental Health Awareness Month, in addition to AFSP’s new campaign, [In This Together: Building Emotional Resilience in Ourselves and Our Communities]([link removed]), we're asking donors like you to support our Million in May fundraising initiative. In a [video address]([link removed]) to our AFSP community, CEO Bob Gebbia reminds us that while suicide is a leading cause of death, research shows that it can be prevented. This May, every gift –– no matter how big or small –– will help us reach our goal of raising one million in funds to support scientific research, public policy and advocacy efforts, education and loss support programs, and so much more.
It's been estimated that for every individual lost to suicide, 135 people are directly and personally affected. With this in mind, we ask you to consider making a gift of $135 to help us reach our goal of a Million in May. When you give between now and May 31, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000 by a generous donor, who is also a dedicated AFSP volunteer. Give today and have twice the impact!
There is so much we can do to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide –– but we can't do it without your help. With your gift, you're helping us fight for a world without suicide.
