This week, we’re watching the House closely as Republicans kick off voting on their budget reconciliation bill, which is chock-full of handouts to polluters and billionaires and is on track to be one of the most harmful, costly, and sweeping pieces of legislation in recent history.

Republicans in Congress want a bill that will open more public lands to destructive fossil fuel drilling. They want a bill that will increase costs to consumers by cutting clean energy tax incentives. They want a bill that will make our air and water dirtier. And they want a bill that will give massive tax breaks to billionaires and Big Polluters.

Time and time again we have seen that people, especially those in districts represented by Republicans, want current clean energy initiatives to be fully funded. And they want to keep our public lands in public hands, not in polluters and real estate developers’. We have the power to make a difference and protect federal clean energy investments and public lands. Tell your members of Congress to vote against ANY attempt to gut environmental and public lands protections and clean energy incentives.

The Republican polluter and billionaire handouts bill wish list halts the clean energy investments that will lower costs and produce more clean energy here in the United States. We can’t afford to let them put our economy and our future at risk. We can’t afford to let them sell off our public lands to their oil and gas polluters and billionaire cronies. 

They have made abundantly clear that they are out of touch with what people want by advancing legislation that prioritizes Big Oil and Big Polluters over our health and safety.

Our families deserve clean air and water. Our families deserve cleaner, cheaper energy and more efficient homes and vehicles. Our families deserve to visit our cherished public lands without being blocked by drilling rigs and mining pits. The profits of billionaires and corporations shouldn’t take priority over our health and futures.
