Trump’s National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, has just been fired.
Why? Because of Signalgate, a stunning breach of national security. Waltz added an Atlantic reporter to an unsecured Signal chat, where classified military operations in Yemen were being detailed.
But the most dangerous actor in this scandal wasn’t Waltz. It was Trump’s Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who revealed the timing of the military strike in that chat and again in a separate thread with his family and lawyer.
This wasn’t an accident. It was a deliberate leak of classified information that endangered American lives.
Mike Waltz’s firing is a start, but it’s not nearly enough. We need a full investigation into what Pete Hegseth disclosed, and we need real accountability.
So today, I am demanding full accountability for this national security failure that endangered our troops and mission, and I am calling on Pete Hegseth to resign.
