We can’t stop fighting

A Women's Place

John, I wanted to reach out with two important updates today. First, thank you to those of you who donated to help us hit our end-of-April deadline this past week — you fuel our work, and we are grateful.

If you haven’t had a chance to donate, but still want to help our efforts to lay early groundwork for Democratic candidates in key swing districts, you can donate here.

Second, today marks a dark moment in our recent history. On May 2nd, 2022, the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision was leaked, revealing the court planned on reversing Roe v. Wade and stripping reproductive freedom, health care, and bodily autonomy from hundreds of millions of women across the country.

Today, we’re still facing the severe repercussions of this abhorrent court decision. In some states, women are facing imprisonment for miscarriages, doctors are being threatened with jail time for performing abortions, women are traveling out of state for the medical care they need, and we have a president & GOP-led House that continue their efforts to rip away reproductive rights at the federal level.

In 2022, we learned just how swiftly decades of progress can be stripped away. To many, it was unthinkable — until it was reality. Now we know better, and that means that we can’t stop, we can’t sit back, we must continue fighting.

We’re never giving up on the fight to restore our rights, but we’re going to have to win back the House majority to put our bodies out of reach for Trump and his courts. Donate today if you’re with us.

Thanks again,

Mary Gay

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.

We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
