Welcome to Ronny's Roundup!
I hope you had a great Easter. I know I enjoyed getting back home to Amarillo and spending some time with my family. I’ve got a lot to update you on from my work in Washington, but as always, I'm fighting every day to deliver real results for the people of Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District. Let's get into it!

I introduced the Fairness in Veterans' Education Act to ensure that all service members and veterans receive every penny they've earned. Specifically, this bill would reimburse service members who paid into the Montgomery GI Bill but later used their Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits instead while on active duty. This bill is a necessary step towards restoring the VA system while supporting our veterans' community.
If you’ve served this country, you shouldn’t have to fight for your benefits—you’ve earned them!

In March, I also reintroduced the Reimbursing Border Communities Act of 2025 to help border communities recover from the damage caused by the Biden-Harris Administration's disastrous open border policies.
While President Trump is thankfully re-securing our country, border communities are still facing the consequences of the previous, failed administration, which is why my bill to help restore those communities must be passed soon.

Dietary Guidelines Reform Act of 2025
|
The Biden administration weaponized the federal government to promote radical environmental policies and attack conventional protein sources, like beef, pork, poultry, and egg products in order to promote beans, peas, and lentils as a “better, safer source of protein.”
My bill will ensure these dietary guidelines are based on transparent, evidence-based research—not political ideologies—so Americans can trust they are getting real, science-backed recommendations that support their health and well-being.

I reintroduced this bill to eliminate all federal funding for both National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
For decades, radical Democrats have funneled taxpayer dollars to NPR and PBS under the guise of 'serving the public,' despite both organizations abandoning their founding missions to provide non-biased content and instead promoting the same radical-left propaganda as any other fake news outlet. If these organizations want to push partisan agendas, they do not deserve another dime of federal support.

U.S.-South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act of 2025
|
I introduced this bill to mandate a full review of the bilateral relationship between the United States and South Africa.
This would help advance President Trump’s foreign policy agenda by giving him the tools necessary to impose sanctions on corrupt South African government officials and African National Congress officials who choose to align with America’s adversaries like China, Russia, and Iran.

President Trump accomplished his first 100 days back in the White House — and what a historic 100 days it’s been! After years of weakness, failure, and embarrassment under Joe Biden, President Trump has delivered decisive actions to put America back on the right track.
In just 100 days, he’s taken bold measures to secure our border, revive our economy, and restore American strength at home and abroad. The era of America Last is over — and the America First agenda is back where it belongs: front and center!
President Trump is doing exactly what he promised — fighting for our values, protecting our families, and making this country strong, safe, and proud again.

As much as there is happening in D.C., nothing beats being back home in Amarillo.
On my latest trip back, I had the chance to join Making Sense with Michael J. We had a fantastic conversation about President Trump and the work we are doing together to deliver real results for TX-13!.
|
I also joined my friend Ricky Pfeil on Kingdom Keys Christian Radio to talk about the brutal persecution Christians are facing in Africa and the fight for our conservative values right here in TX-13. It was great to have his son, Jeremy, on with us too.
Always good catching up with Ricky and standing strong for faith, freedom, and our country!
|
I also had the honor of joining my friend, Ali Allison on 2nd Cup to discuss the latest updates on Congress' plan to pass a new Farm Bill, my Wildfire Victim Tax Relief and Recovery Act, the House Armed Services Committee, and President Trump's Inauguration.

Congressional Art Competition
|
Congratulations to Drew Puentes on winning first place in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Texas’ 13th Congressional District!
His powerful charcoal drawing of two boys on horseback perfectly captures the grit and grace of the Texas Panhandle. I’m proud to have his work represent our district in the U.S. Capitol. A big thank you to every student who participated and to the parents and teachers who helped bring their talents to life!
