Three years ago on this day, the draft opinion of the Dobbs decision was leaked to the public.
Weeks later, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — ripping away bodily autonomy, personal choice, and reproductive healthcare from millions of Americans.
Today, three years later, we’re living with the horrific consequences. Women have limited access to abortion in 19 states, with no exceptions for rape or incest in 12 states. 380 bills have been introduced across the country to restrict reproductive care and countless women have died as a result of these extreme measures.
But the story doesn’t end here — Republicans are trying to further undermine our freedoms by attacking access to IVF, contraception, and more.
As a member of the Pro-Choice Caucus and Democratic Women’s Caucus, I’m fighting back in Congress to stop these attacks on our bodily autonomy and pass legislation to restore reproductive healthcare nationwide and defend access to contraception.
