Financial professionals can now easily report suspected financial abuse of seniors and vulnerable adults using the SAFE Portal launched by the New Jersey Bureau of Securities. This online system aids brokers and advisers in complying with the State's SAFE Act, which mandates reporting potential exploitation.
Under the SAFE Act, professionals must alert the Bureau and local adult protective services if they suspect abuse.
