Four Things to Know and Do About New Abortion Pill Study
By: Paul Batura
A new study confirms what many have been warning about for years. The abortion pill doesn’t just take the life of innocent preborn babies but also injures and puts mother’s lives in jeopardy.
“The Abortion Pill Harms Women,” the largest ever examination of its kind, found that nearly 11% of all women who abort their child with mifepristone suffer from life-threatening conditions, including sepsis, infection or hemorrhaging.
Focus on the Family President Jim Daly stated this new report “calls out the chilling dangers of the abortion pill.”
He added:
“For more than half-a-century, the radical abortion industry has been diminishing and discounting the health risks to unsuspecting women whenever preborn life is taken.”

Disney+ Advertises Show Called ‘Dying for Sex’
By: Emily Washburn
Disney is advertising an explicit miniseries called Dying for Sex on Disney+, alongside Moana and Mickey and Friends.
Based on a true story, the salacious show follows a terminally ill cancer patient who leaves her husband to explore a variety of sexual kinks and fetishes.
To quote the Guardian, “Much, if not all, of human genital life is [in the show].”
Dying for Sex was produced for Hulu, a streaming service owned by Disney. But the children’s entertainment company advertised it on Disney+ — a platform ostensibly dedicated to programs for kids and young adults.
Disney+ promoted and debuted the series’ inappropriate trailer on April 4 and released marketing materials with Disney branding.
Dying for Sex became so synonymous with Disney+ that the Guardian mistakenly called it a “new Disney+ miniseries.”
Now, kids can watch Dying for Sex by clicking on the massive ad banner featured on the Disney+ homepage.
Anna Derbyshire is director of NO Porn on Disney Plus, a Citizen GO campaign demanding Disney remove advertisements and access to adult programs like Dying for Sex from Disney+.
For Derbyshire, Disney’s decision to promote adult content is a conscious betrayal of parents who have trusted the brand to provide kid-friendly entertainment.

Arkansas Schools to Teach Human Development in the Womb
By: Nicole Hunt
Last week, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed a bill requiring that public school students learn about human development in the womb.
This new law is part of a broader trend among more conservative states to include detailed fetal development into education standards and school curricula and it’s a positive move that’s reflective of the ongoing culture war over abortion.
SB 450 requires Arkansas Department of Education to change its academic standards to include discussions on human fetal growth and development.
The bill aims to educate students on the biological truths of human development from conception to birth.
The measure was passed with overwhelming support in the State House (vote of 81-13) and State Senate (vote of 26-6).
Key provisions require that the content include:
- “A high-definition ultrasound that shows the brain, heart, sex organs, and other vital organs in early fetal development”
- “The process of fertilization and every stage of human development inside the uterus, including a discussion that notes significant markers in cell growth and organ development for every significant marker of pregnancy until birth.”

SecDef Hegseth: Military Reinstating 8,700 Wrongly Discharged Servicemembers
By: Zachary Mettler
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced Wednesday the Pentagon is actively working to reinstate 8,700 U.S. service members wrongly discharged for refusing a COVID-19 vaccine.
The defense secretary addressed U.S. Army War College families, students and staff on Wednesday, April 23 at the Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania.
“More than 8,700 service members were involuntarily separated for not taking an experimental COVID-19 vaccine,” the secretary said.
“Others were more informally pushed out or decided to get out.”
He proclaimed,
“We are actively welcoming back those warriors of conscience. We’ve sent letters out, we’re seeking them out, we want them back. They never should have been forced out. We’re hoping they’ll come back quickly.
“Our Personnel and Readiness Department is working in real time to make that process more and more efficient, more and more direct, every single day,” he added.
Byran said he “instantly” knew he wanted to perform the song when he first learned about the Easter special.
On Monday, January 27, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order directing Defense Secretary Hegseth to “take all necessary action.”

New Research Shows How Important Family Strength is for Academic Performance
By: Glenn T. Stanton
Important new research published by the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) from highly respected family scholar Nicholas Zill explains, “When it comes to student achievement and adjustment, the advantage of being raised by married birth parents has actually increased over the last quarter century.”
This good news comes from a larger IFS research brief on the impact married moms and dads and intact families have on academic performance.
The report addresses the problem of rising grade inflation in American schools.
In the mid-90s, 40% of students in elementary, middle and high school in the U.S. earned “mostly A” grades on their report cards. In 2019, that number rose to 54%.
Good news, right? Students are doing better.
Not quite. Nicholas Zill explains,
“These grading and disciplinary changes are partly the result of well-intentioned though largely cosmetic efforts to improve social mobility and reduce gaps between racial, ethnic and economic groups in this country.
“Progressive education reformers have sought to make family background less of a determinant of how well a student does in school.”
However, he adds some very important news, “Despite the ballooning number of students getting stellar grades on their report cards, those being raised by their married birth parents are still more likely to get mostly A grades … ”
