Friends,

Remember 2017 when Republicans spent months trying to rip health care away from millions of Americans?

Well, now they're claiming to have a new plan.

"White House weighs September rollout of health plan" - Wall Street Journal

But here's the truth: Trump's "plan" is nothing more than the elimination of the Affordable Care Act, with nothing to replace it. They didn't have an alternative health care plan two years ago, they didn't have one in June when they made the same claim, and they don't have one today.

In reality, they've spent almost three years trying to sabotage the Affordable Care Act in every way they can.

Right now, the White House is in court trying to overturn the law in its entirety. If they succeed, more than 20 million people would lose their health insurance and protections for people with pre-existing conditions would disappear. And now they are telegraphing that this fall, they are going to re-up their efforts to repeal the law through the legislative process.

Our first, second, and third health care priority now needs to be calling out and stopping Trump's sabotage campaign.

Tell the Senate: Pass legislation to protect health care for people with pre-existing conditions from Trump's sabotage campaign. The House passed legislation months ago. We cannot let the Trump administration gut these protections in the courts.

In 2017, grassroots activism saved the Affordable Care Act, and in 2018, that same activism helped us win at the ballot box. But our fight is not over.

We need to come together and make our voices heard in this moment to demand a vote.

Every best wish,

Chris Murphy
