** Turning Lived Experience Into Leadership
------------------------------------------------------------
This spring, Hunger Free America is proud to spotlight the extraordinary impact of our Food Action Board ([link removed]) (FAB) members—individuals with lived experience with hunger who are now helping to lead the fight against it.

One of those leaders is Araceli, an immigrant mother who once struggled to navigate the SNAP application process. After receiving support from Hunger Free America, she joined her local FAB to ensure others would have an easier path:
“I’m a volunteer because I don’t just want my kids to benefit, but my whole community, more than anything.”
Now she is part of a growing network of FAB leaders conducting peer outreach, guiding immigrant families through SNAP enrollment, and advocating for stronger anti-hunger policies at the local and state levels.

This is what resilience looks like—community members stepping up to build lasting solutions from their own experiences.
As we continue our Spring Campaign, we invite you to stand with leaders like Araceli. Your gift supports outreach, training, and advocacy efforts that help transform lives.
