Hi there,

You may have seen this message already, but women and girls are running out of time, and I had to make sure.

Simply put, there is no more food in Gaza.

Pregnant women, new mothers, and newborns are especially at risk of malnutrition.

Nisma , for example, gave birth during the conflict. Today, her newborn is starving.

“There are many things I do not have for myself at the moment, but it’s even worse for my daughter. The price of milk is very high and we cannot afford it. At her young age, she is malnourished.”

Our teams on the ground in Gaza are continuing to deliver care to women like Nisma and her baby, but we must be ready to scale up our support before it’s too late.

Please, if you’re able to today, will you make a gift for women and girls surviving starvation in Gaza and around the world? [[link removed]?]

Thank you.

— Jacob

Women, girls, and families in Gaza are at a breaking point, and things will only get worse as food runs out:

Food prices have skyrocketed an astounding 1,400% compared to the ceasefire period earlier in the year and essentials like oil and grains are in short supply.

Malnutrition is a serious concern – especially among pregnant and breastfeeding women and newborns.

Right now, it is impossible to carry a healthy pregnancy in Gaza. 1 in 5 babies are born prematurely or underweight and in need of advanced medical care to survive – which is increasingly unavailable . Women are 3X more likely to miscarry a pregnancy or to die from pregnancy and childbirth complications than they were before October 7.

Thanks to your past support, we remain on the ground in Gaza providing lifesaving sexual and reproductive health care to pregnant women, new mothers, and their newborns. We are currently supporting 23 mobile clinics, medical tents, and hospitals across the Gaza Strip, but the situation is dire and we must be ready to scale up our support as food runs out and women and girls eat less and less.

Will you rush an emergency gift today and deliver lifesaving care and humanitarian relief to women, girls, and families in Gaza and beyond? [[link removed]?]

We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and hope for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Thank you for being there.
