Hi John xxxxxx,
Did you know that eight U.S. states are considering legislation that would prosecute abortion as homicide?
According to the 19th News, legislators in Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, and Texas, most of which already have total abortion bans in place, have introduced legislation that would impose extreme criminal penalties on both providers and patients. The worst part? Many of the states considering these bills still sometimes issue the death penalty to defendants who are found guilty of homicide.
We are sounding the alarm: Draconian bills like this are becoming more popular in deep red states; states in which men account for more than 80% of the legislators weighing in on these policies. We desperately need more pro-choice women in the rooms where these decisions are being made. You can help support pro-women women running for office in THESE VERY states by pitching in $20.25 now →

At Her Bold Move, we understand our responsibility to chip away at the male supermajorities in the very legislatures that are passing dangerous laws about women. While blue and purple states continue to get the most attention from the Democratic (pro-choice) party, the millions of women who live in red states are being left behind. We cannot let that stand.
That’s why Her Bold Move has doubled down on our support for women candidates running for office in red states. Those are the women candidates whose voices are needed most desperately.
And guess what? Our work is making a DIFFERENCE! Last cycle, 44% of Her Bold Move’s winning candidates lived in RED STATES. We want to keep expanding our impact across those states in 2025 and beyond. Help Her Bold Move elect pro-choice women to state legislatures in red states by chipping in $20.25 today! →
In Georgia, lawmakers heard hours of testimony on one of these homicide bills, and it even drew criticism from those who support abortion restrictions. As Elizabeth Edmonds, an anti-abortion lobbyist, stated, “This is a bad bill. It’s bad for women.” Despite this opposition, the bill garnered 21 sponsors in Georgia’s state legislature – the most support it has ever had.
Pregnancy criminalization has been on the rise. In a recent report by Pregnancy Justice, they found that at least 210 pregnant women have faced pregnancy-related criminal charges since the fall of Roe v. Wade, and that number is only going to continue to go up.
We are outraged by the audacity of male politicians writing laws about our bodies. There is only ONE way to fight back against these extremists: making sure there are pro-choice, pro-women women in all of the rooms when decisions about our bodies are being made.
We cannot afford to stand down. You can help us elect women leaders to these majority-male state legislatures by rushing $20.25 or more right now! Join our movement today! →
Onward,
