As President Donald Trump celebrated his consequential first 100 days in office this week, Democratic leaders Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries promised to unveil their party's platform for the rest of the Trump administration. Instead, their speeches and publicity events struggled to find a coherent, substantive message beyond their undying opposition to the 47th president.

An attempt to oppose President Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda has resulted in Democratic Party infighting, according to several reports. Over the past several weeks, congressional Democrats have been rallying around Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an El Salvador native who was deported to that country after federal law enforcement identified him as an affiliate of the international criminal gang and foreign terrorist organization Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13). The xxxxxx recently reported that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) has been quietly urging his congressional colleagues to back away from the issue and stop visiting El Salvador, where Garcia is incarcerated. "They want to let the El Salvador stuff slow down," a senior House staffer was quoted as saying.
