Friend — A federal judge just BLOCKED Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, a xenophobic law that punishes immigrant communities without due process.

Trump has been using this wartime law that was enacted over 200 years ago to accuse immigrants (including legal US residents) of being “gang members” without the need to provide evidence and deporting them to a notorious super prison in El Salvador.

This is exactly why I introduced the Neighbors Not Enemies Act: To prevent any president from using this law to fast track deportations.

While this ruling is a step in the right direction, the Trump administration will almost certainly appeal the decision, and it could go all the way to the Supreme Court.

We must keep up the pressure on Congress, the courts, and this administration to do the right thing and stop these illegal, unconstitutional deportations.
