This moment follows major headlines last week that reached LGBTQ people everywhere with messages of support and inspiration: People spotlighted GLAAD’s years of engagement with Pope Francis, and Newsweek and The Advocate ran guest articles about the growing acceptance within faith communities.

At the same time, GLAAD is fighting anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and misinformation on social media. After exposing that Meta’s AI is recommending so-called “conversion therapy” in searches about being gay and lesbian, and failing to protect users from anti-trans harassment, GLAAD’s leadership was featured in major outlets like The Washington Post and Axios — demanding urgent change.
