John: Eight years ago, Donald Trump’s election drove me into the 2018 race for a U.S. House seat. I was one of the first Congressional candidates to run that year and winning was a long shot. With the help of you and so many others, I won, but, probably like you, I can’t believe we’re here again. Eight years later, I'm still doing everything I can in Congress to fight against President Trump’s reckless and dangerous actions.

So I want to take a moment today to share my journey with you. But before I do, will you rush a donation ahead of our midnight deadline to help us reach our $5,000 goal?

My father came to the United States as a refugee fleeing war-torn Poland during WWII. It was his experience that led me to want to serve. I wanted to give back to my community and the country that has given my family and me so much. So I served in the Air Force and in Teach for America.

I earned my engineering degree from Stanford with an ROTC scholarship and received my M.S. in Technology and Policy from MIT. It was at Stanford that I met Bart, my husband. Together, we raised our beautiful daughters in the suburbs of Philadelphia - the cradle of this great nation.

I got involved in public service because I believe there's work to be done all across the United States, but especially here in Chester and Berks Counties – from greater opportunities for workers and increased profits for businesses to making high-quality health care more affordable and accessible.

As a longtime resident of Southeastern Pennsylvania, I am dedicated to solving real problems for the people and communities of Pennsylvania. And today, I am here as your representative in Congress because the United States welcomed refugees and gave me a chance at the American dream. It's not an opportunity I take lightly.

But we're watching in real time as Trump and his GOP allies in Congress are attacking our communities and our democracy, John — again. I stepped up for this role to fight for hardworking Pennsylvanians many years ago, and I'm committed to continuing the fight to stop the GOP from threatening our most vulnerable and selling out the middle class. But I can't do it alone.

Will you please give $5 now to help me reach my critical $5,000 goal so I can take on the Trump administration's backward agenda and deliver on the issues that matter to you?

Thank you so much, John.

There's work to be done,

Chrissy
