John,

Right now, Republicans led by Donald Trump and Elon Musk are trying to destroy the union that represents the workers who make Social Security work.

But that’s not the only union they’re coming after―Senator Rand Paul has introduced a bill that would devastate every union in the country, leaving us all at the mercy of our bosses.

If enacted, the National Right to Work Act would lead to lower wages, more dangerous workplaces, and fewer benefits for workers. That means more money for millionaires and billionaires, less money for workers, and less money paid into our Social Security system.

This May Day, send a message to your elected officials and demand that they block any attempt to pass this anti-union law!

Here’s the truth: Unions are the greatest force to fight wealth inequality. The rich few have more and more money, and there’s less for the rest of us. And because the wealthy only pay into Social Security on their first $176,100 of wages annually, that depletes Social Security’s trust fund!

Income inequality has widened dramatically as union density dropped. But Republicans won’t be satisfied until no one can afford to retire but their wealthy donors.

Stand up for Social Security! Send a message to your members of Congress: Block the anti-union National Right to Work Act!

Thank you,

Michael Phelan
