Hi Friend,
This year's 100th anniversary of
women gaining the right to vote has reminded me of the efforts we have
made to innovate our elections and continue being pioneers of change in voting. From the first
ever elections security operations center to creating an award winning
statewide voter system, we have a lot to be proud of.
All of this did not come over
night, though. With your support, we are continuing the legacy that
has been set in place by brave individuals, like the suffragettes, to
implement fair and impartial elections for all eligible
voters.
As we reflect on how far we have
come, I am reminded of this quote from Frances Haskell, our first
female representative to the Washington State House of
Representatives, “the women of our grandmothers’ time lived in a
very small and narrow sphere, but civilization has advanced by many
leaps and bounds. Now Washington can prove to the world the greatness
of our evergreen state is not determined by the number of acres it
contains or its population, but by the characters of its men and women
who today are extending to all women of America the privilege of the
ballot.”
To make sure we continue the
tradition set out by the suffragettes of pioneering fair elections for
all, I need your help. Every dollar goes towards us getting one step closer to
winning this fall. If
you haven’t donated yet, please consider giving $25, $50, or $100
today.
Thank you for your part in shaping
our elections for the better,
Kim Wyman
