Hi John,

This morning, *The San Francisco Chronicle* *published a major, feature piece about DxE activist Zoe Rosenberg,* who is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for rescuing four suffering birds from a Perdue-owned slaughterhouse. *The* *Chronicle* *is the largest newspaper in Northern California and the second largest on the entire West Coast,* and this important animal rights story is currently featured on their website's home page.

This article will expose millions of people to the horrific abuse animals endure at commercial farms like Perdue's, as well as introduce them to the fight for the right to rescue animals from abuse -- all through Zoe's inspiring story!

"Just four months after she graduates on May 17 with a bachelor’s degree in social movement strategy, the straight-A student will stand trial in a Sonoma County courtroom for her June 2023 incursion into Petaluma Poultry, a processing facility owned by agribusiness giant Perdue Farms. If convicted for taking four chickens Perdue valued at around $24, she faces up to 5½ years in prison.

And that’s hardly the only thing at stake..."

Also, an important update on Zoe's case: Yesterday, the Sonoma County court set new dates for Zoe's trial. It will start on *September 15, 2025* in Santa Rosa, CA and could last around 3 weeks. Please mark your calendars now if you think you'll be able to join us for any of the trial.

In the meantime, we have a lot coming up this month with this weekend's coordinated protests ( [link removed] ) at Trader Joe's stores nationwide , the Week of Action Against Perdue's Petaluma Poultry, and finally the 2025 Animal Liberation Conference ( [link removed] ) ! Let's keep the momentum going and continue building up mainstream support for animal rescue.

Until every animal is free,
Cassie
