Each year, WomenHeart brings together women living with heart disease to connect, learn, and train in their new roles as WomenHeart Champions at our Science & Leadership Symposium. The 2025 virtual symposium, taking place May 5–22, starts this weekend, offering participants an experience that blends science, advocacy, and sisterhood.
What the Symposium Is All About
The Science & Leadership Symposium is a first-of-its-kind program designed to empower women with heart disease to become community leaders and heart health advocates.
The symposium includes:
Sessions with top cardiologists and health experts
Deep dives into patient advocacy and health equity
Workshops to build leadership and storytelling skills
A chance to connect with a national community of women who understand life with heart disease
Participants who complete the program become part of our WomenHeart Champion community—volunteer leaders working to educate and support others.
A Glimpse at What Comes Next
This October, WomenHeart will host an in-person symposium at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. This program offers a live, immersive experience—one that often sparks lifelong friendships and a renewed sense of purpose.
