Hi John,
With conflict raging in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and Congo… it feels like our world is bleeding right now. Instead of accountability and solidarity, there is often silence. Too many world leaders are taking peace for granted.
And then there is President Donald Trump, who is driving a full-force rollback of rights for women, girls, and marginalised communities. And the impact reaches far beyond the borders of the United States.
Fast and Furious: Trump's First 100 Days.
This week marked Trump's first 100 days back in the Oval Office. Already the ripple effects are devastating. He’s scrapped federal Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, signalling to companies and institutions that systemic racism no longer needs to be addressed. Decades of progress are being dismantled, and inequality is deepening.
Womankind's work is becoming increasingly challenging in a complex world, w ([link removed]) hich is why your support is more important than ever. Make a donation here. ([link removed])
Vital funding for women’s rights has been slashed.
Trump has also renewed his attack on sexual and reproductive health rights. His cuts to the USAID budget are already hitting organisations around the world—many of which provide life-saving HIV treatment, malaria prevention, and maternal healthcare.
These cuts mean thousands of women can't access contraception. Girls are left without HIV treatment. Pregnant mothers are unable to access vital healthcare. For many, this aid was the difference between life and death.

What can we do?
In the face of so much uncertainty, one thing is crystal clear: we can’t rely on politicians to protect women’s rights. Real change comes from the ground up.
For the last 35 years, Womankind has worked directly with grassroots women’s rights organisations. We invest in local activists and movements so that they’re independent and resilient in the face of rising threats.
Your support helps protect the rights of marginalised women, fund community activism, and keep progress moving forward.
But we don’t have time to wait. We must act now.
Donate today to help counter US cuts and keep vital women’s rights work going.
