“We're sending you these words today because we need you…It's an emergency” — Olimpio Guajajara, Guardian of the Amazon

Over this past week, we’ve reached out to you — our global community of activists — to seek regular support for our work alongside Indigenous people like the Guajajara Guardians, defenders of the Brazilian Amazon. Jack, there’s still time to set up a regular donation.

The Guardians’ home, Arariboia, was officially recognised as Indigenous land in 1990. Incursion by outsiders is illegal. But at least six Guardians have been murdered protecting their territory against invading loggers and ranchers. Survival is supporting the Guardians’ land protection efforts, and we’re calling on the Brazilian government to uphold the law and evict outsiders once and for all.
