Hey, before you close your laptop for the day, I wanted to reach out.

In just a few short months, Donald Trump has taken a sledgehammer to the rule of law, the Constitution, and our democracy with a whirlwind of blatantly illegal and so deeply immoral actions. And too many of my colleagues in Congress seem okay with watching this happen.

I want to make this as clear as possible: I refuse to allow Trump to become the new normal. I know this is an urgent, make-or-break moment for our democracy, and that is why I’ve been one of the most vocal and proactive members of Congress in fighting back.

But the truth is, those actions will make me a target — because Republicans know that winning right here in CA-47 is the key to winning the House majority. That’s why I wanted to humbly ask:
