Dear Friend,
This week marks 100 days into Trump’s second term in office and it’s been nothing but chaos and dysfunction since day one. In just 100 days, Trump has lowered the American people’s confidence in him like never before in modern U.S. history. He’s gutted the federal programs and agencies that people rely on and fired critical staff who deliver our Social Security checks, ensure our safe travel, and protect our clean air and water.
While Trump ran on lowering costs, he’s made it clear during the last 100 days that he does not care about reducing prices for American families. Since taking office, Trump has launched an all-out attack on American workers, our allies abroad, and our democratic system of checks and balances. And now, Trump and Republicans in Congress plan to take away Medicaid, Medicare, and prescription drug benefits from seniors and children.
These programs are all lifelines for millions of Americans, including hundreds of thousands of families, veterans, and seniors in South Jersey. If all goes according to plan for Trump and his cronies, the consequences will be devastating.
