Yesterday, on the 100th night of his presidency, Donald Trump returned to the state he visited almost as much as any other during the presidential campaign.

Michigan.

His rally was like many of those before it: a lot of time airing personal grievances and painting a dark picture of our country and its people.

But why did Trump choose Michigan on a day that all of the media was paying attention? He chose it because he knows what we know: Michigan is once again the center of the political universe in the next election.

We have an open Senate seat, a gubernatorial and other statewide campaigns, and contested House races that could determine control of the chamber and more.

He did it for the news media and to energize his supporters.

And now we need to do the same.

Elissa Slotkin will be working hard to swing the swing state of Michigan back to a place Democrats win up and down the ballot.

But she needs your help to get it done.
