Dear John,
For the last decade, SiX has inspired, equipped, and emboldened state legislators to champion people-centered governance.
Now, as SiX enters its next decade, we’re laying the groundwork for new permanent executive leadership. While we finalize the search for new executive leadership, Molly Noble, SiX’s senior vice president of operations, is serving as our interim executive director.
We’re thrilled that Molly is leading in this new capacity, where her steady leadership and ten years of deep institutional knowledge are invaluable. Molly has been with SiX from our initial launch as an organization and has continued to be a steady, stabilizing force. In her role as senior vice president of operations, Molly has strengthened SiX's core finance, compliance, HR, and IT infrastructure while staying grounded in our values and our culture of care. We can't think of a better leader to steward the organization through this period of transition.
Molly is steeped in the vision, mission, and values of SiX and is well-positioned to lead the team as we redouble our efforts to build a better democracy, as described in our latest strategic plan. Amidst the chaos, disruption, and deep harm playing out across our country, SiX is committed to both resisting authoritarianism and building what comes next through collaborative governance, a practice that shifts power back to the people.
SiX knows that when our communities disengage from our governance systems, we strengthen authoritarian rule, but when people show up to work together, we wield the power to change the world. SiX promotes collaborative governance by organizing with state legislators in deep collaboration with their communities to build a future where all people, not just the already-powerful elites, have power and agency over their lives.
Molly has been partnering closely with the board on the search for new executive leadership, and we hope to have exciting news to share soon. In the meantime, should you have any questions or want to reach out to us, the board chairs, please contact us at [email protected].
In shared power,
Sarah Johnson and Liz Dupee
