Healthy Futures' Next Chapter
After nearly a decade of visionary leadership, Evelyn Delgado, President & CEO of Healthy Futures of Texas, has announced her retirement, effective later this year. Under her guidance, Healthy Futures has become a powerful force for adolescent health, championing evidence-based education, expanding access to care, and building partnerships that reach communities across the state. Evelyn’s leadership, especially in the face of shifting public health landscapes, has left a lasting impact not only on our organization, but on the lives of youth and families across Texas.
Evelyn’s Legacy
Evelyn led Healthy Futures through a pivotal merger, expanded our statewide reach, and deepened our focus on serving communities across Texas. Her tenure includes several key milestones:
- Leading the development of our 2023–2025 strategic plan, laying the foundation for our statewide impact.
- Expanding our education, advocacy, awareness, and research efforts to support more youth, parents, and providers.
- Strengthening policy work to help ensure adolescents have access to vital and quality reproductive healthcare education.
- Leading the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition to promote access to preventive care for all Texas women.
We are deeply grateful for Evelyn’s commitment to young people, women, and families, and for always centering the needs of Texans in our mission.
Looking Ahead
We’re proud to share that Ginger Mullaney, our longtime Chief Mission Officer, will step into the role of CEO, starting on July 1st. With deep roots in Healthy Futures and a career dedicated to strengthening adolescent-serving ecosystems and leading health education strategy and efforts, Ginger brings both continuity and a bold vision for the future.
This transition represents a significant milestone in the continued advancement of our mission to improve health outcomes for youth and families across Texas.

As we look ahead, we do so with confidence and optimism. Ginger’s steady leadership, deep experience, and strong belief in the power of young people and community voice will guide Healthy Futures into its next era of impact.
