While the Trump Administration continues its war against the Constitution, putting our rights and liberties at risk, and Netanyahu renews war efforts in an attempt to hold onto power in Israel, we must look toward the vision of a future that we can believe in – and prepare to do the work necessary to achieve it!
As we prepare to celebrate Israel declaring its independence on Yom Ha'atzmaut, J Street is asking: What kind of country do we want to live in? What would sustain Israel’s future as a Jewish homeland and a democratic state?
The answers lie in Israel's own Declaration of Independence – a vision of nations founded on freedom, justice and peace, ensuring equal rights for all. We know that the stakes are incredibly high, but moments like this are when we need to dig deep and find our strength together, to give voice to our values and resist.
