Dear Friends, I work every day to ensure this is a community where people live, work, and thrive while enjoying a strong sense of place and belonging. This month, I was proud to join in the celebration of Deaf History Month - lifting up the history, culture, and contributions of our deaf and hard-of-hearing residents.
In partnership with the Maryland Deaf Community Center and the Maryland School for the Deaf, we hosted a Deaf History Month Celebration on April 1. I want to thank Sam Sonnenstrahl, Mary Lynn Lally, Jackie Kanekuni, Linda Stoltz, Joann Griffin, Nan Principe Crockett, Jini Borggaard, Janice Martin, and the wonderful students who made this event a success. |
