Dear John,

After 100 days in office, it's clear that Trump has only ever meant to make this country great for himself, his billionaire friends, and the people who promise to never question his authority. He has illegally disobeyed court orders while kidnapping and deporting individuals without any due process and threatened to withhold funding from schools, universities, and even local governments who refuse to comply with his conservative agenda. This administration has also fired over 100,000 civil servants, implemented Project 2025’s playbook to dismantle the government, and has attempted to slash funding for Head Start and early education, Medicaid, and Social Security.

With the Trump administration going after every institution in its way to consolidate presidential power, we can’t let up the pressure on Congress to check his authority and fight for a country that works for all of us.

Trump has made us less safe and less prosperous as a country with his non-stop abuses of power and attacks on the most vulnerable.

As destructive as Trump has been, NWLC is committed to actually creating a country that is great for everyone:

• We are representing Chicago Women in Trades in a lawsuit against Trump's EO to restrict DEI initiatives.
• We launched the "Robbing Us” campaign, which includes an immersive, interactive webpage illustrating the harm of giving more tax breaks to billionaires.
• We filed a motion to block Trump’s harmful 2020 Title IX rule regarding sexual harassment on school campuses.
• We waged multiple campaigns to stop the most harmful executive branch nominees and were successful in helping block the nominations of Matt Gaetz and Dave Weldon.
• We launched a resource tracking the number of federal fired workers per Department and highlighting how those firings will impact women and families.
• We joined more than 1,725 organizations in a national letter urging Congress to protect the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from DOGE cuts.
• And much, much more.

We have not stopped resisting Trump’s fascist takeover of our government these first 100 days and Congress needs to do the same. Tell your representatives to do their jobs and protect our rights.
