Yesterday marked 100 days since Donald Trump marched back into the White
House, John.
So what does he have to show for it?
This period has been marked by a particularly heavy degree of
incompetence, chaos, and cruelty.
From the mass firing of federal workers, to giving Elon Musk a free hand
to gut our government, to outright illegal actions such as attempting to
end birthright citizenship and deporting American citizens, these past 100
days have felt more like 100 years.

Fortunately, the resistance to Trump and the far-right is growing and
increasingly getting louder and harder to ignore.
From nationwide protests to courts blocking some of Trump’s most dangerous
initiatives, people everywhere are starting to stand up against the
hostile takeover of our government.
But the groups and organizations who are doing the real and necessary work

Even though he started his second term with a 50 percent approval rating,
this honeymoon period wasn’t to last.
The latest CNN national poll has him down to 41 percent. Two other polls
from the Associated Press and The Washington Post/ABC News have him under
40 percent — lower than any other president at their 100 day mark.
And despite campaign promises to “fix the economy”, the economy is now
teetering on the edge of a recession, due in part to Trump's reckless
tariffs. All the while, working communities across the country continue to
bear the brunt of Trump’s reactionary agenda.
Let's be honest,
John: the last 100 days have been
nothing short of a disaster.
With Democrats currently locked out of power in Washington, it’s key that
we build the resources needed to regain the momentum and the support and
trust of the people. It’s the only way we’re going to build the winning
coalition we’ll need to retake power from MAGA extremists.
