BREAKING: Today, a federal judge ordered the release of our client Mohsen Mawdahi on bail. We continue to fight for him and for ALL people whose rights are under attack by the Trump administration.

Join us in the fight with a donation today. <[link removed]>

ACLU Supporter, President Trump has spent the first 100 days of his second term attacking and deporting immigrants in unprecedentedly cruel and lawless ways. We've spent 100 days fighting to stop him – and with over 100 years of experience fighting for our civil liberties, we know what it takes to succeed.

Every day, Trump's attacks get more inhumane.

* He's sent ICE after U.S. green card holders and international students in retaliation for their lawful speech, ripping them from their homes and families.

* Trump has also terminated the student visas of hundreds of other international students around the country, without any due process or explanation. Secretary of State Rubio has bragged, “We do it every day.”

* Trump has used a 1798 law meant for wartime deportations to deport hundreds of people to a prison in El Salvador known for torture.

And he's defied the law, the U.S. Constitution, court orders, and basic values in the process.

The ACLU is fighting to free those who have been unjustly detained, including Mahmoud Khalil, Rümeysa Öztürk, Dr. Badar Khan Suri, and Mohsen Mahdawi. In fact, today, a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to release Mr. Mahdawi on bail and he was able to walk out the courthouse doors just moments later.

This is one of many of the suits we have filed to protect international students’ right to free speech and due process – in addition to the multiple suits we’ve brought to court to stop Trump from using the Alien Enemies Act unlawfully. We are holding Trump accountable every time he violates our Constitution.

But we're just 100 days into a four-year term, and we need you with us every step of the way, ACLU Supporter. In this unprecedented moment, we're counting on an unprecedented groundswell of support to keep fighting – will you please rush an urgent donation? <[link removed]>

In addition to attempting to silence and punish anyone who disagrees with him, President Trump's first 100 days have included attempting to deny citizenship to babies born in this country. We brought the first lawsuit challenging that illegal order, just hours after he issued it on Inauguration Day.

This is a watershed moment, ACLU Supporter. President Trump's egregious abuses of power, his complete disregard for our most fundamental rights and liberties, and his targeting of vulnerable populations must never go unanswered.

That is why we will continue to fight – to keep filing lawsuits, demanding change, and rallying in the streets. Are you with us? Please donate now to defend the fundamental rights and civil liberties of all people nationwide. <[link removed]>
