Constituent Organizations

     Meeting and speaking with those who live and work in the Second District provides me a firsthand understanding of the issues affecting the many businesses, organizations, and individuals represented. I welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs and concerns -- and the offices and I stand ready to help.

     Whether in the Washington, Midlands, or Aiken/Barnwell offices, we want to hear from you, and our goals are to provide support however possible, whether it is an individual concern, or more broad issues.

Safeguarding American Elections

   I am grateful that last month President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to strengthen voter citizenship verification and assure that only American citizens be allowed to vote on election day.

     House Republicans supported this action a few weeks ago by passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act). This bill requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections and demands that states remove non-citizens from voter rolls.

     It is crucial for democracy that Americans trust voting results. Under the leadership of President Trump, House Republicans will restore faith in elections.

President Trump's Responsible Budget

     Due to the damaging policies of the Biden-Harris administration, America experienced wasteful spending, which has harmed families and destroyed jobs.

     Recently, House Republicans passed a budget framework for 2026 which will pave the way for the passage of a single, comprehensive bill and deliver on the agenda of President Donald Trump.

     Among other actions, the legislation provides for Congress to secure the border, unleash American energy, prevent the largest tax hike in history, create jobs, and bring common sense back to government.

     Unnecessary, reckless government spending will be eliminated, putting the American people first.
