DACA
DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is a federal program that allows immigrants who were brought to the US illegally as children before 2012 to earn conditional legal status if they meet a number of requirements. In 2017, President Trump rescinded the Obama executive order that created DACA and asked Congress to “legalize it” through legislation. The Supreme Court is aiming to issue a ruling by the end of June on whether the creation of DACA and its rescindment are constitutional.
