I’ve said many times that we need to be more than an “opposition” party.
We need to be a “proposition party” that fights for higher wages, lower
costs, universal health care, and a government that actually works for the
people.
Yesterday, as part of that effort, I was proud to reintroduce the Medicare
For All Act in the House of Representatives.
The current health care situation is cruel and completely unsustainable.
Corporate greed has taken over the system, and at every turn, Americans
are at risk of being pushed into severe medical debt.
Plus, billion-dollar pharmaceutical corporations are raising the prices of
prescriptions and making it harder for everyday Americans to get the
medicine they need.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Other nations have figured out how to
deliver quality care without breaking the bank, and it’s time for us to
join them.
