Many people are hoping the 2026 election will be just like 2018 when Democrats won a landslide victory in the “Blue Wave” and took back the House.

But there are two issues:

1. Right now, Democrats only hold a 1-2% advantage in polling versus 6% in 2017.
2. The House map is very different now. In 2018, there were 25 Republicans in Clinton-won districts. Today there are only 3 Republicans in Harris-won seats.
