No, John, it's not Halloween
yet. But it felt like a jump-scare right out of a horror movie when we
first saw this picture of Eric Trump wearing a “Trump 2028” baseball hat.
We’re sorry for shocking you.
But let’s get serious: This new merch offered on the Trump Organization's
website features the phrase “rewrite the rules.” Moreover, the President
hasn’t ruled out seeking a third term when repeatedly asked by reporters,
claiming instead that “there are methods” to make it happen.
This is dangerous and completely unconstitutional,
John. The 22nd Amendment states that “No
person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
But when has Trump concerned himself with obeying the law?
Whatever the Trump clan is planning, it’s up to us to stop it. Demand
Justice is working to elect legislators who will defend the Constitution
from Trump’s authoritarian threats and elevate judges who will do the
same.
