John,
Just two months after Wisconsin’s election meltdown, Georgia voters were subjected to appalling, undemocratic conditions at the ballot box during the state’s primary election on Tuesday.
Polling locations failed to open on time. Voting machines broke. Eligible voters who requested absentee ballots never received them. And hours-long lines formed amidst the chaos.
On top of it all, Black communities were impacted by the state’s failures the worst. It’s an all too familiar story, but one we must never accept.
Make no mistake: We are witnessing the effects of a decades-long voter suppression effort by the Republicans and we must fight back.
In the wealthiest nation on earth, voting machines should work, absentee ballots should arrive on time, and no one should have to wait in line for hours to vote, especially not during a pandemic.
We cannot afford to lose this fight, John. Sign our petition and tell Congress to establish a national vote-by-mail system immediately:
Thank you,
Kate Dobson
