APRIL 2025

[Taking Big Plastic to Court:]([link removed])

Dear John,

As Earth Month wraps up, we’re excited to share some of the key moments from our work. Here’s what’s been happening in April:

Taking Big Plastic to Court: As you may have heard, Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC) recently filed complaints in Washington, D.C. against PepsiCo, FIJI Water, and Danone for “false and deceptive marketing.” These companies continue to mislead the public about their true environmental impact, and we’re holding them accountable. Read [our blog]([link removed]) and our [spotlight in The Cool Down]([link removed]).

New: Plastic-Free Goods on Our Site. We’ve added a brand-new [Plastic-Free Goods]([link removed])section to our website, highlighting a curated selection of our plastic-free partner brands. While buying nothing is always best, we know sometimes you need to buy essentials. Make sure to check out our new collection of PPC Business Member brands on the [DoneGood marketplace]([link removed])! Use code PPC15 to get $15 off your purchase of $100 or more.

Sharing the Facts About Plastics, Plastic Chemicals, + Our Health: In April, PPC shared the facts about plastics, plastic chemicals, and our health. We hosted an expert panel for [our webinar, This Is Your Brain on Plastics: What You Need to Know About Plastics and Health]([link removed]). We also published [a new explainer blog on endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs)]([link removed]), which are often found in plastic consumer products and plastic-packaged food and plastic bottled water.

Faith + Climate Action: Spotlight on Climate Revival. We published a special [Earth Day blog: 7 Ways You Can Take Action]([link removed]), plus a feature on [Climate Revival]([link removed]), a new faith-led climate justice movement. Founded by Grammy-nominated artist Antonique Smith and Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr. of Hip Hop Caucus, Climate Revival is mobilizing communities often excluded from the climate conversation.

Thanks for being part of this movement and caring about our work and this planet. Until next time, keep pushing for a plastic-free future.

Onward,

[Aidan Maguire]
