Fellow Kansan,
Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. The U.S. House of Representatives is back in session for another week of committee hearings, legislative votes, and floor activity. For more information on what I'm working on this week, be sure to follow me on social media.
I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America— I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That’s what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come.
Yours in service,

This week, committees in the U.S. House of Representatives will begin working on legislation to implement President Trump’s legislative agenda. The House Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) Committee will be marking up our reconciliation package to bolster President Trump’s border and national security agenda, roll back Biden-era Green New Deal programs, cut wasteful spending, and invest in modernizing our air traffic control.
Later this week, the House will vote to repeal more Biden-era rules and regulations that harm American consumers. America needs an all-of-the-above energy strategy—not a one-size-fits-California mandate. These mandates, including a ban on gas-powered vehicles and trucks with any level of emissions, would crush agriculture and trucking in Kansas and rural America. They would also raise everyday costs for all Americans. We need a strategy that focuses on increasing production without picking winners and losers. I look forward to repealing these Biden-era mandates and working with the Trump Administration to get our country back on track.

| | Delivering for the America's Mandate | | President Trump ran on securing our borders, shrinking the size of the federal government, and lowering taxes for American families. He promised to restore common sense to the nation’s capital and to get our country back on track. Yesterday marked the 100th day of his historic second term, and he has already fulfilled his promises to the American people. Currently, illegal border crossings are down over 95% from last year, $160+ billion of wasteful federal spending has been cut, and American energy production has been unleashed through deregulation. President Trump has worked tirelessly with House and Senate Republicans to extend the 2017 tax cuts and continues to work hard to make every facet of life better for American families. This is what strong leadership looks like. Promises made, promises kept. | | Discussing Tax Cuts, Farm Bill & Election Integrity
| | I sat down with Rebekah Chung from KSNT’s Inside Kansas Politics to talk about the work we’re doing in Congress to advance President Trump’s agenda and deliver results for Kansans. We discussed the importance of extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, preventing Kansas families from seeing an average tax increase of $2,200 next year. We also spoke about the significance of passing the SAVE Act to protect the integrity of our elections and delivering a comprehensive, five-year Farm Bill to provide certainty for rural America. I appreciated the opportunity to share how we’re fighting to restore conservative leadership and get our country back on track. | | Opening Sale of Nationwide E15 | |
On Monday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a nationwide allowance for the sale of E15 gasoline throughout the summer. This new rule will allow E15 to be sold across the country, giving consumers more options during the summer driving season while supporting Kansas farmers and their businesses. This step, made possible by EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and President Trump, is a win for American families and farmers, but Congress needs to act to make E15 sales permanent.
I am a proud supporter of nationwide, year-round E15 sales, which would support Kansas farmers and lower gasoline costs for American families. Earlier this year, I co-sponsored the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, which would codify year-round E15 sales permanently. Kansans deserve access to the highest quality fuel at the lowest possible price, and I urge my colleagues to pass our bill to lower costs for Americans nationwide.

As summer approaches, many Kansas families are making travel plans, preparing for time with loved ones, or seeking assistance with federal services, and my office is here to help every step of the way. Whether you're interested in booking a tour of the U.S. Capitol, White House, or Library of Congress, need assistance with passports or a federal agency, or want to request an American flag flown over the Capitol, we’ve got resources available.
We’re also proud to assist Kansas veterans with accessing benefits and resolving issues with the VA. You can find helpful information and request services anytime at mann.house.gov, or feel free to call one of my offices in Washington, Manhattan, or Dodge City. My team and I are here to serve you.

Naturalization Ceremony
I had the honor of speaking at a naturalization ceremony where 168 individuals from 34 different countries became American citizens. It was a powerful reminder of what makes this country so special—the fact that anyone from anywhere can come to America legally, work hard, make an honest living, and call our country home. It took many of these new Americans several years to go through the process, and I applaud them for their grit, determination, and patience.
Looking into the faces of new Americans—many of them holding small flags and surrounded by proud families—was deeply moving. Their stories, determination, and commitment to this country reflect the very best of who we are. I was proud to stand with them as they took the oath and officially joined the American family.

Wichita State University
Leaders at Wichita State University gave me a tour of their cutting-edge research facilities and new buildings that are driving innovation and preparing students for careers in high-demand industries. From advanced robotics to metal 3D printing, Wichita State is making major investments in engineering, manufacturing, and workforce development that are already paying off for students and Kansas' economy.
We also talked about the university’s leadership through the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and their ongoing work to keep the aviation industry strong and the Kansas aviation corridor thriving. Thank you for the tour!

Textron eAviation
Aviation has long been a pillar of Kansas’s economy and identity, and companies like Textron eAviation are driving its future through innovation and investment. I toured their Wichita headquarters and visited with company leaders about their ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of technology to create both commercial and defense aviation solutions that positively impact the next generation of flight.
Textron’s work is a key part of maintaining Kansas’s leadership in aerospace, and I appreciated the opportunity to see their progress firsthand.
