Now that Theresa is officially the Democratic nominee to take on extreme Republican Senator Joni Ernst, we wanted to give you a quick update on the most important things to know about our race:

  1. The Senate is up for grabs in November. FiveThirtyEight just said "the Senate has to be considered a toss-up at this point."

  2. Iowa is one of the most important -- and closest -- races in the country. The path to taking back the Senate majority runs straight through Iowa. Recent polling shows us a few points ahead of our opponent!

  3. This will be one of the most expensive races this year. Mitch McConnell and national Republicans have already pledged to spend MILLIONS to defeat us because they know Iowa is key to holding their majority. The campaign arm of the Senate Republicans even launched their first nasty, false attack ad against Theresa this week.
