John,
It’s been 100 days since President Trump took office.
Things are moving fast on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures, but through it all, you've shown up – loudly, fiercely and fearlessly.
Here are 10 big wins from our first 100 days of action:
1. Our advocates flooded Congress with nearly 1 million messages , including 250,000 to protect foreign aid. ✍🏻
2. In under 24 hours, we sent 22,000+ texts defending SNAP, sparking over 160 personal appeals to lawmakers. 💥
3. Student Ambassadors at Pleasant View High in Tennessee raised over $14,000 at an art auction for Save the Children. 💸
4. We helped pass a federal spending bill that preserved funding for early learning and nutrition programs. 📚
5. As Congress debates tax reform, we added new co-sponsors to child and family tax credit legislation. 💑
6. Hundreds of changemakers rallied at Advocacy Days in Washington, New Mexico, Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire, Virginia and South Carolina. 📣
7. We secured funding in New Mexico to make child care more accessible for working parents. 💰
8. During SCAN’s annual Have a Heart campaign, we sent 63,000 messages and delivered 1,446 valentines in support of early learning. 🤟
9. Our incredible volunteers raised $162,283 for Save the Children’s Emergency Fund. ⚠️
10. We secured updates to a summer food delivery program to better reach kids in rural America. 🍎
YOU made this progress possible, John.
I’ve never seen this movement speak out with such passion and urgency... and we’re just getting started.
Proud to fight alongside you,
