What I saw happen in Georgia on Tuesday disgusted me.

I watched as broken voting machines and undelivered absentee ballots led to voters waiting in line for more than four hours to participate in our democracy.

I can’t accept that.

And it’s clear to me the problems in the Georgia Primary Election disproportionately impacted voters of color. I just learned Black Georgians made 75 percent of the calls to a voting rights group for challenges they faced on Tuesday.

Let me be clear: Republicans’ failure to protect our elections is not only abhorrent -- it’s a direct threat to our democracy.

I simply refuse to stay silent as Republicans undermine the right to vote.

That’s why I’m calling on 25O,OOO grassroots Democrats to come together and defend the integrity of our elections.
