Hi Friend, it’s Gary Dyson here with an important message.
As a member of Team Orbis, I wholeheartedly believe that no one should go blind—not when it can be avoided. And yet globally, there are over 1 billion people living with some form of vision loss, including blindness.
It’s my mission to help deliver sight-saving care across the globe and with your support, we can do even more.
Your donation, no matter the size, will have a lasting impact on the lives of millions. After all, sight is the key to a bright future.
With Gratitude,
Gary Dyson,
Chief Pilot, Orbis

Hi Friend,
In honor of World Pilot Day, we’re highlighting one of the incredible pilots helping save sight around the world: Gary Dyson.
As Chief Pilot at Orbis International, Gary has taken the Flying Eye Hospital jet on more than 40 incredible sight-saving projects to help those in need of eye care. Without him, we wouldn’t be able to leave the runway, let alone spread the gift of sight worldwide.
With over 40 years of flying experience, Gary will never forget the moment he saw a young child get her sight back on his first flight with the Flying Eye Hospital.
“Treating blindness is important to me because of how many millions and millions of people there are in the world that are blind from avoidable causes.”
Without the incredible 16 volunteer FedEx pilots who donate their time, and supporters like you, we wouldn’t be able to carry out our work that helps thousands of families access the quality eye care they need. And when you make a gift to Orbis today, you’ll help ensure:
Thousands of patients get the sight-saving eye screenings and exams they need
Local Eye care professionals and health workers are trained
The Flying Eye Hospital arrives at its destination where patients are treated
