I just wrapped up a virtual town hall with my fellow Democratic governors JB Pritzker, Maura Healey, and Kathy Hochul. As the first line of defense against Trump, we spoke directly with thousands of Americans about his disastrous first 100 days in office.
Right now, folks are scared and pissed. It’s no wonder House Republicans are hiding from their constituents—they’re too afraid to defend why they’ve let Trump spend the last 100 days gutting Social Security, Medicaid, and the Department of Education.
As governor, I’ll keep showing up and fighting back with a clear message to Trump and the people enabling him: Get your hands off our retirement plans, our health care, and our schools.
