Republicans made NPR and PBS two of their top targets. Elon Musk declared “Defund NPR. It should survive on its own”, Trump’s FCC Chair Brendan Carr launched an OFFICIAL INVESTIGATION into them, and Marjorie Taylor Greene even had their CEOs testify in front of her DOGE subcommittee!

THEN

Donald Trump broke his silence and DEMANDED that NPR and PBS be defunded, even tweeting:

"Republicans must defund and totally disassociate themselves from NPR & PBS, the radical left "monsters" that so badly hurt our country!
He’s even preparing to FORMALLY ask Congress to remove nearly all federal funding for these vital news organizations as soon as this week!

These vital institutions are fighting back and SUING the Trump administration to stop their dangerous overreach!
