Can a few dollars actually make an impact? 

Angela Alsobrooks here. I’m Alex’s mom, former Prince George’s County Executive, and current U.S. Senator from Maryland. I want to explain why your small-dollar contributions are so valuable, but first, I’m asking you to chip in $5 to help me keep Marylanders connected with what’s happening on Capitol Hill.

I wear many hats both on and off the Capitol grounds. I’m usually wearing my "official Senate business" hat, but I play a few other roles, too.

I’m a communicator, supportive ear, helping hand, and trusted information source.

They may not be in the job description of "Senator," but I take these informal responsibilities very seriously.  

I’m committed to being a resource for our community and staying attuned to your needs. But those efforts don’t come with an official budget. Instead, my team relies on small-dollar grassroots support to help Marylanders stay informed. 

That’s why your donation matters, friend. Early, small-dollar support helps us be strategic and intentional about how we’re reaching people. 

Your $5 helps us engage more voters and communities in the political process. It allows me to speak with you directly to learn how I can make your family’s lives better.
