President Trump has been in office for 100 days.

What have his priorities been? What will they continue to be?

And most importantly, where is he leading America?

On the first day of his second term, Trump issued a record-breaking 26 executive orders, and in the weeks that followed, he added more than 100 additional orders alongside other memorandums and proclamations. Some have been entirely positive, such as the repeal of Biden-era rules that limited water pressure in showers ([link removed]) , while others have been downright eyeroll-inducing, such as renaming the Gulf of Mexico ([link removed]) and declaring the day the order was signed a national holiday.

In his latest article, Research Fellow Christopher Calton dives into Trump’s early actions on trade, education, immigration, and more, offering a clear-eyed analysis of what Americans can expect in the years ahead.

** By Ivan Eland
------------------------------------------------------------

Senior Fellow Ivan Eland argues there’s no doubt that government spending must be cut; but the bumbling and chaotic “slashing”of Musk’s DOGE will only cut a drop from the bucket at its best.

** Donald Trump Should Fight Globalism, Not Globalisation ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

By Ryan Bourne, Daniel B. Klein

Research Fellows Ryan Bourne and Daniel B. Klein argue that while Trump instinctively sensed globalism’s threat—exiting treaties and curbing foreign aid—his use of tariffs muddles the message. The goal, they say, should be to defeat globalism, not globalization.
